A Timeline view now comes as an automatic feature that provides the users with a graphical overall project summary which can be used to easily communicate more effectively. The ability to select either manually scheduled tasks (Top-Down scheduling) or automatic scheduling of tasks (Bottom-Up scheduling). Task Inspector tool allows the interaction of both of these options with a mixture plus more. Increased options within the Team Planner tool. |

Cons
|
Large and complex UI. Reorganization of all of your normal tools and options within the ribbon menu layouts. Price concerns. |

Conclusion
|
Microsoft Project is a beast of an application with many features and options that most users don’t necessarily know are available. Lots of options have been added to make the program more efficient and easier to use especially with the indicator icons that will point out issues you can correct within the Task Inspector tool. |

Microsoft Project is a powerful tool with many functions. This might be the deciding factor to buy for some users. However, for many others users, this should be the reason not to buy this tool. There are some interesting alternatives among the freeware tools. |
