ProjectCards
ProjectCards is a cost-effective method for an Agile project that is simple to use, easy and intuitive and requires almost no training to start using it. There are no monthly fees and you can install it on your own servers so that all project data is available to all those who are connected to your servers. It can be used by all members of the Agile project team, from developers, customers, testers, and quality assurance to all the project managers who can each provide the necessary inputs for the project. As all the team members are connected to the same project, progress is always up-to-date. An Eclipse plug-in for ProjectCards enables remote team members to also participate in the planning of a project. Projects that can require lots of overtime and heroics in the final stages can use this Agile project management software to promote early completion. Four different licensing packs are available, depending on the number of users. For up to ten users, the cost is $145 per user. For 11 or more users, the cost is $130 per user. For 50 users on a single server, the cost is $3500, and for 100 users on a single server, the cost is $6000. There is also a special offer available for up to 100 days for students on a student server, which is free of cost.

Pros

User stories available as printable cards for quick reference. Customizable attributes and drag and drop feature for stories. Very easy and intuitive interface. Integrated Eclipse plug-in enables accessing project cards from developer's workstations and from within the IDE. Automatic load balancing and What-if scenarios. Appropriately priced and comes with a 60 days fully loaded trial version available for trial. And if you have 2-user team you can use a limited version called ProjectCards free. |

Cons
|
Dashboard is not that great…should have had more information and better presentation. Moreover, managing tasks is not easy through dashboard since you need to move stories. Another drawback is that velocity data is not auto-generated (as it should be because all data is already in there). |

Conclusion
|
Well, projectcards is kind of 'ok'. It does make it easy to share the plans with everyone in the team …and using an eclipse-like interface (plus an eclipse plug-in) makes the learning curve really short for the developers as well. Printable cards add to the comfort during discussions and meetings. However, it falls short when it comes to functionality (esp MIS and monitoring related). So, it is a good tool for some basic stuff for agile projects...but not really comprehensive enough to suit everyone's requirements. |
