Review Criterias

Pros - Very thorough coverage and treatment of PPM functionality
- Good, rich-client user interface
- Modern architecture
- Software can be customized to fit local demand
- Offline capability
Cons - The need to install the client on all PCs when, for many roles and activities, a web-client would be sufficient
- Makes sense for larger user groups. Hardly suitable for single-seat licensing
Conclusion PSNext stands, for good reason, in the Gartner "Visionaries" quadrant. The tool covers portfolio management from planning, tracking, and reporting to the personalized "MyWork" functionality. This provides a basis for a PPM tool. The rich client provides a tightly integrated interface that can be used to award detailed rights to specific users. For companies seeking a full-fledged PPM, PSNext should at least be on the long-list.
