Agilo
"Agilo for Scrum" is a ticket-based management system, customized for Scrum management. It runs as a web application on any of several operating systems and allows multi-user access. Agilo for Scrum is based on Trac, the popular open source ticket tracker. Correspondingly, Agilo for Scrum has been released as free, open source tool. In addition to the free version, a Pro version offers a nice task board to manage daily tasks in a scrum. The basic Scrum elements are all provided. Additional ticket lists can be added, for example an impediment list. If desired, source code repositories can be integrated. Agilo also provides a sub-version and Mylin integration. Agilo can be purchased, per user, as a hosted SaaS subscription solution for $15.00 per month.

Agilo for trac is very useful. The open Source version support all features, just some fancy views are missing. Good Scrum tool, not only for trac users. |

Pros
|
Web-based, supports scrum and comes in 2 versions (one is free open source version and the other is pro version at a small price). Burn down charts, drag and drop digital whiteboard (only pro version), inline editing, SVN integration, mylyn (eclipse) integration, multi-project support, kanban support (pro only) and automated capacity planning are some other good features. |
|
Cons
|
The reporting features and the overall GUI design could have been better. The GUI itself is not very intutive. |

Conclusion

A free scrum tool with almost all the required features is what one wants. It is a really good one for small companies or even larger companies that have to run agile projects sometimes. However, if agile is the methodology you use for all projects then you might want to look for some other specialist tools. And yes, you would need the pro version to really get the full advantage. 30-day trial can help you decide. |
