Pros
Integration with various tools and IDEs to makes it possible to have a central handle on everything (work items, releases, communication, defect tracking, version control) not just project management aspects. The project status is available for everyone to see (even the developers) at any point in time. A free-edition is available too (even though with limited features). Support for both Windows and Linux makes it even better. |

Cons
With so many functions and integrations, the learning curve might be large and make its use prohibitive for projects with short life cycle. The interface seems busy too. Moreover, setting up Team Concert might require a lot of effort. |

Conclusion
This is a heavy weight tool (or rather, an environment in itself) that would suit long duration projects or teams that are already familiar with it. But once you get it going, it could really streamline the entire project lifecyle for you and make life easy for everyone. But be ready to invest time, money and effort into it initially. |
