TeamLab is a free open-source platform for project management and business collaboration. Its features include project management, tasks, time tracking, people, blogs&forums, instant messenger, photos, wiki, bookmarks. These tools allow users to communicate, collaborate and manage their projects in a clear more-direct way. There are 3 deployment solutions available: SaaS, open source and Amazon Machine Image. TeamLab is available for users with no limitations, at no cost and it is ad-free. Moreover, we there is an extra guarantee for data safety of a corporate client. It’s possible to back up portal data and then deploy it on own server at any time due to open-source and AMI solutions are available. Thus TeamLab users will never be dependent on a company-vendor.

Review Criterias

Pros	Offer the most needed features for project management - tasks, milestones, reports, sharing project documentation. In addition, you may create, edit and share document online without any software installation. The team structure (in reference to the names of departments) can be customized).
Cons	There is no CRM module and calendar. As for documents, there is not possibility to sort them by tags.
Conclusion	Good project management tool with integrated document module, which make the documentworkflow easier to control. TeamLab is offered in 3 solutions:SaaS, Open-source, AMI. So, each orgranization may choose the best way to use TeamLab.

Review Criterias

Pros	Collaboration is at an all time high with this solution as Instant Messaging, blogging, and Wiki’s are the strong suit. With it’s milestone management dashboard, the users can quickly see the overall state of the project. Simplicity in application setup and design is a huge plus. Monitoring of the project can also be done through the reporting capabilities of the tool.
Cons	The application doesn’t allow too much in the way of customization to the users.
Conclusion	This application is based primarily on two things: project management and social networking. It integrates the two very effectively. An SaaS, open source application that is effective with any sized company is a huge bonus. If you are looking for file management capabilities, its included. So are polling and news postings which both add to the collaboration focus of the application. Time tracking is a bonus too.
